Intercooler piping

Just wanted to know if I could use Muffler piping...get some bent at the muffler shop..2.5inch. I know its steel and keeps the heat and shit..but i think its better than those cracked stock piping. Is muffler steel to thick ?? what metal do i get if i want to make a lower ic pipe..can i just bring my lower pipe and tell the guy...bend me this in metal ??

and..2ndd...correct me if im wrong, lower ic pipe should be aluminium if possible and upper should be steel with ceramic coating ??

if you can use mandrel bent tubing, it should be fine. if its crush bent, you will benefit less, but it will still be better than cracked stock piping. you can do it all in steel, all in aluminum, it doesnt really matter. if you get steel (exhaust piping is usually aluminized steel) make sure you paint or powdercoat it for a) looks b) so it doesnt rust up.

Pynk: Mine are just exhaust tube and mandrel bends welded together then ceramic coated inside and out then heat dispersant black on the outside.

if your not bending 2.5 inch anymore than 90 degree's crush bent if you cant find a mandrel bender it will be fine, it doesnt crush bad at all... i work in a muffler shop and use the pipe bender all the time. i can get bends almost as nice as mandrels on a crush. and whatever i cant i weld pieces together

Personally i wouldnt go crush bends. And if you can use 2.75" for the upper pipe and get rid of your 3000 pipe. the throttle body is 2.75"

Ive tried a few different brands of duct tape but i think i might still have a minor boost leak. LOL yeah i have to take some pics after i had them welded together.

1- So...can I just bring my lower IC pipe to the shop and tell them to bend it for me ??? exactly the same.

2- for the upper pipe, can i go 2.75 all the way to TB or does it have to go 2.5 to 2.75 for the 3000 pipe.

3- that plastic pipe on the fender side...kinda ungly looking...what the hell do i put there..do i have to bend a pipe to go inside of there ?? or should i leave it the way it is..since its plastic and less likeley to leak
