I am determined to KEEP my battery in the stock location but I can't see any other way to run intercooler piping, AC IS A MUST* I was thinking of using a smaller battery but I plan to have a double din monitor and 1 12" subwoofer not to mention boost controller, turbo timer gauges, I need to run 3" intercooler pipes if I got a smaller battery enough to fit the piping would the battery be sufficent?

Another idea I had but looks crappy and I'm not sure if it would flow the same is bending the pipe, sort of into an oval shape to fit it between the ac fans and the compressor, I really would hate to do something that would look so dumb, but will it work and function well?

Also I want to run a dual row radiator but are their any smaller than stock, anyway to pull those cooling fans back some. Actually is there anyway I I could make the cooling fans smaller or make a new smaller sheild for it?

Anyone run a different intercooler setup off their FFIM? The problem is the ac cooling fans and the AC compressor are too close together to run a 3" intercooler pipe, if I run it to the right I will hit the belts, further right I will hit the fan, to the left I hit the AC lines.

Just thinking outloud, would love to hear your ideas.

Battery size wouldn't have anything to do with your gauges and cd player, How ever if you turn the sub up it may pull current from the battery. Once the car is started, the ALT supplies the power to everything. You can always install a CAP to help the amp voltage and keep it from dimming your lights/low volt the amp.

Thats how u can push a car and pop the clutch to start it if the battery is dead :p

What about electric fans? I have duel e-fans on mine they are very slim compared to OEM

Run the small battery up front so you have room for your IC piping, Run your ecu/main harness power to that.

Then run a 2ndary for your sub/music / acc. but have it tied down in your spare tire well or hatch.

Run a higher output ALT for the two batteries.

If your going to be wiring up two batteries, and go through the trouble of fitting those in the front, why don't you just re-located the single normal sized battery?

Not only will it make your life easier from the FFIM stand-point, it will also releive some of the clutter of your engine bay

i didnt really want to relocate my battery either, but it turned out to be a must. First they made the pipe with the battery inplace, but when it came time to bolt up the AC lines..the IC pipe didnt fit. So we ended up having to relocate the battery to the trunk. oh well.

iim using 2.75" i/c piping and keeping the stock battery location, but then again i took out the a/c but still i can fit it back in with the right bracket. i was thinking of keeping hte a/c in but i opted for the alternator brackets that were selling here so i just went with it instead of having one custom done.

There's roughly 5 inches I have to work with and i need to run a 3" intercooler pipe, its gonna be tight, do you think I could shave down the e fan some?

Ybelegal: I have to have AC here in FL.

I think the easy way is buy a battery relocation kit for $69.95 at summit

Also a bought This flex alite, but here in the summer at 115F with the AC on, can't cool the engine like the fan clutch.

I will install a Q45 TB, and the IC need to be of 3", so will be almost imposible to keep the battery in front.

I think that'll be your best bet.

Wouldn't be hard, btw, to make a fiberglass (or aluminum) replica of the stock shroud, with the A/C side modified for the thinner fans. Not hard, but probably pretty time consuming :)
