so I was on geico.com, getting a quote, and I was expecting to see a high rate. and I was right. for both my mom and I(she has a 2000 accord, me an 88 supra), it was about $1950/6mo. but wait, theres more... right now, she pays~$350/6mo. at state farm... soooo, lets see...1950-350=1600!!!!!!!!

1600 muther fucking dollars!!!!!! is this right?!?!?!? I'm 17 and have 2 tickets, which caused my license to be suspended for 6mo. and now I have to pay $1600 for car insurance!?!?!?!?!? jesus christ, I barely make that much in 6 months as it is! fuggin dancing geko motherfucker

Yea man, it doesn't take much for insurance to pull your license. I had one speeding ticket and 2 exhaust tickets (non moving violations) and my Dad's policy dropped me. I flat out hate em.

I bought an '00 Integra last year and I have to pay $1400/6mo. for full coverage. Both my g/f and I are on the policy. I am 21 and she is 20, I have 1 ticket that I think should be off my record by now. BUT if she was the owner of the car and we could take me off the policy full coverage would only be $850/6mo. It's fucking stupid. Oh well, gotta do it...

its not that, the state took my license, the insurance company found out, and wont let me back on for three years, it specifically says on the policy "chad cant drive this car".

Sounds about right, 17 years olds who've had their license suspended for speeding don't get good deals on insurance, particularly in a sports car. Insurance companies are all about risk management and you look like a hell of a risk. Drive more carefully and eventually your rate will come down.

try AIG they are cool as hell and offer a bunch of discounts.

i'm on parents policy and deans list so 3 full coverage cars went from $500 for 6/months to $1000/6months when i got on.

or farmers, they will ensure anyone.

^its not about who'll accept me, its about how much it'll cost...

So, either someone else is paying for you, or you are just simply SO special that you don't have to live by the same rules of society as the rest of us. What a rebel! :bsflag:
