I just replaced the crank, piston rings, bearings, head gasket, and spark plugs in my 7mge. I'm having trouble getting it started. It turns over.
I have done all of the following:
Put it in time according to the TSRM.
Checked compression in 1 and 2. 160psi Good
Checked spark on all plugs. Good
Spark plugs smell like fuel as well as the cold start injector.
It will not start at all, unless...
Here's the weird thing.
If I remove the EFI fuse (killing the injectors and spark). Then try and start it for 6 seconds. Then put the fuse back in it sound like it begins to start (Ignition) and then dies out.
My buddy thinks it might be the battery because when i try to start the battery voltage drops to just under 11volts which he say may or may not cause the injectors to operate properly.
