Decided I am going to install a Greddy turbo timer and some other goodies tomorrow and just need some information.

Is the ignition harness(?) the same between the 3 models?

I have been reading over the installation guide from Greddy and the MKIII TSRM wiring diagrams, problem is the MKIII TSRM is for USDM MA70's. First thing I noticed is that the ignition has 2 ON wires. I know that the Blue and Green wires from the turbo timer go to these wires. According to the TSRM there should be a Black/White (ON 1) and Black/Orange (ON 2), after a quick inspection of a spare harness (from a GA70), all I can see is that ON 1 is the Black/White wire, but ON 2 is Brown/Red. Would I be correct to assume that this Brown/Red wire is the same as the Black/Orange wire?

I have no clue which wire is supposed to be the 12V wire. After looking at what I think is a GA70 Ignition Harness, I can see the following lettering:

AM1
ST1
IG1
AM2
ST2
IG2
ACC

I assume the JZA70 one would be the same. (I hope so)

Now I know it isn't ACC, ST1 or ST2, so out of the 4 options left, which one would the 12V wire be?

I have been using the following documents for reference:
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Librar...l.aspx?S=D&P=3
http://www.nengun.com/doc/nengun-011...mer_manual.pdf

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When I installed my HKS type 0 I bought a plug and play adapter for it. You can find them on ebay all the time for like 10 bucks for the greddy and HKIS turbo timers. Then all you do is unplug your ignition switch plug and insert it between the plugs and boom your there. Then all you have left is the option wires like the ebrake and speed and rpm wires to connect. For those the manual for the timer should have a pic of your ecu pinouts.

When I installed my HKS Turbo Timer into my JZA70 I just used the wiring diagram for a MA70. Worked great for me although I didn't have the PNP Harness and just hardwired it.

Yeah I was looking at getting a harness, but they aren't as easy to find. I know of a site that sells them but it doesn't seem worth it for something that costs $40 and will take approx 17 days to get here.

Justin: What wire did you use for the 12V? I have the the other two wires figured, just unsure on which wire is for the 12v.

Alright your ignition harness is gonna have 4 wires.

Accesory wire (Pink/Blue)
Ignition 1 (Black/Yellow)
Starter 1 (Black/White)

Ignition 2 (Black/Orange)

The pink/blue wire is gonna be your 12V. The black/white wire will be spliced into as the starter wire. And the ignition wire you will need to use is the black/orange wire otherwise everything will turn on and seem all good but when you turn off the ignition the timer will count down but the motor will have shut off already. If your not sure the wire for the e-brake it is the black wire right at the bottom for your e-brake handle otherwise just ground out that wire which will give you the same effect. Hope that helps.

Ok I guess the JDM one is different, but I assume it should still be the same wires, just different colors.

ACC (Blue/Red)
IG1 (Black/Yellow)
ST1 (Black/White)
IG2 (Brown/White)

The thing is, in the Greddy wiring diagram found here :
http://www.nengun.com/doc/nengun-0114-0019-greddy_auto_timer_manual.pdf

It states that if there are two ON wires, to skip the ACC wire and wire the green and blue wires into ST1 and ST2, I might just try wiring it into the ACC, IG1 and ST1 and see how I go. Thanks for the help. :D

I got the greddy one on my MA. Justin how is ur timer working if u don't have a constant 12V wire? Its supposted to be wired Constant 12V, Acc, and Ign. Just to let u know with the greddy timer u have to be wired to a certain Ign. wire for it to work right. I think its Ign 2 but I don't remember. Also to let u know with the greddy timer if the car is still running and u lock it the stock security system won't engage. U would have to wait for it to shut off and then set the alarm.

He's got a JZA70 whcih to my knowledge never came with a factory alarm. I'm also just giving him the knowledge I have from my HKS timer and I believe i said that the ACC wire was the 12V and that the ignition wire that was needed to be used was the Ignition 2 wire.
