*Downpipe

Some info for anyone thinking about these parts.

The driftmotion downpipe is perfect. Money well spent. Fitment is perfect and it tucks up under the car very well. It's heavy stainless and the finish is very nice. The opening from the turbo is very large, the wastegate flapper will not hit the downpipe or get caught. The stock turbo heatshield no longer fits, but it looks like it could be cut to fit again.

I also ordered a used ebay catback. The RSR knockoff that sells new for around $200. Price was too good to pass up. The fitment was very bad, pipes were too long, hangers didn't line up, and the muffler stuck way out in the back. The vband clamps were too big and leaked. I took it into an exhaust shop and they welded everything up and shortened it to the right length. It fits nicely now. It's much quieter than I expected. The tone is very smooth and deep. Overall I wouldn't recommend, too much hassle to make it fit right.

With the new exhaust the car gained a lot of power especially over 4500 rpm it seriously opens up.

The stock turbo heatshield fit on my DM downpipe the only thing I didn't like was it didn't have the studs on it for the O2 sensor to bolt back on so I bought bolts.

Thanks for the review, glad to hear how it worked out. I think the ebay ones are essentially just a generic exhaust that hadnt been test fitted but is mass produced. If you dont might the headaches of not getting an exhaust that fits and having to redo it, it's certainly an option!

I cut the back section off the turbo heatshield and it fits again. Stock intercooler hose was too hot to touch without it. I'll get some pics tomorrow.
