I hope nobody takes this as stealing his thunder, but I figured I would throw it out now for all to see and hear. My wife is pregnant too!
We were waiting for the traditional 12 week mark to tell everyone. They say to wait 12 weeks because of the risks of miscarriage. Her family has a history of complications and her Mom had a number of miscarriages before and after my wife was born, so we were kind of nervous. It's 12 weeks on Thursday anyway so, I'm announcing that crap now!
I have a 5 year old from a previous relationship that we raise together, but this is her first. We're both really excited. It wasn't planned. It actually happened during the cycling off period going from 1 brand of birth control pill to another. I figured I'd accept the 30 days of risk, what could happen right? :dunno: Well when God says it's time, it's time.
We have daily drivers, so the Supra is going nowhere. :nono: However, all this has made me hesitate on the 2jz a bit. I'm downsizing financial obligations right now, just in case my wife can't work due to the aforementioned complications. Regardless after January she won't be working at all, or for a long time, so I'm hesitant to drop $3k on a 2jz swap. I figured if I didn't have the cash by Vegas I'd just throw it all on a credit card, but with the wife possibly not working and a bunch of baby stuff to buy before January (Baby's due January 24th), I'm hesitant.
