so guys i talked to the ins guy today and he offered me a measly 1500 and him take my car yeah right i tried to tell him that they are worth so much more but he said and i quote" your 87 celica supra is not going to be worth no where near 4000k it doesnt matter what you do to it" so i came back with well the nada on an 87 single turbo supra with around 88k miles books at 3400 avg and he was like uh..uh.. so i told him to just call me back when he figured out a price but what i want to know is why is he calling it a celica supra didnt they stop that in 86?

yes they did. in 86.5 87 they went to just supra and celica went its own way... its just some people do not know what they are talking about and are misinformed on the matter.. the mkII supras actually say celica supra on the header panel emblem and on the rear where as 86.5 to 92 say supra on it. just point that out to him...
also heres a link to a supra history site notice that when the mkIII starts the car is referred to as supra and the mki and mkII are referred to as celica supra...

print this page out and show it to him also...If you just want to prove a point and make him feel stupid.

my friend totaled out his 91 and the ins company gave him 5500 for it... some people just dont see the value of the car and some do. sadly our cars sale for whatever the potential buyer sees its worth. if they are a supra fan they realize what there worth if not they lowball you and expect you to go for it...
