I am sure somebody has done it. The problem is there is no calbration between the different air flow meter styles, and the newer 7MGE's are high impedance(resistance) injectors, and the 440's are not. That is one genuine reason to have an ECU fail. The older 7MGE was low impedance, and you will simply run rich.
