info on two cars

there is a guy here in my hometown with two turbo supras,1 is a90 targa 5 speed with an upgraded turbo he said was pushin 300 horse but has been sitting for a while but will start and drive off, and i believe its an 87 or 88 hard top auto but its missing the turbo and is partly gutted cause he was gonna make a full racer out of it it will run ,but with the turbo gone it sprays water everywhere so cant tell muchabout it. he sais all drive train is in good shape and wants 2,000 for both. is that a fair price? was gonna buy but dont have a place to put the cars.

Take a look at the bodies and interior. I would say if the bodies and int. are in good shape go for it! As for the engine...I'd be wary especially if its had mods done to it. Ask where the mods were done, ask to see recipes and if he did the work what other cars has he worked on before(if any). The best way to tell is to listen to it and drive it. To me you can tell alot more by feeling if the engine runs smoothly, pulls hard and how the tranny shifts. Let us know!

well i know the guy fairly well and the complete car ran great a while back.i think it was the marriage and kid thing that put a hault to the supra thing

If you can make a pretty decent looking and reliable car out of the two then I'd say go for it. You could also make a few bucks parting one of them out. If the hardtopper is not rusty try to sell it to someone looking to build a race car....

I'd buy them... thats not a bad price for a running turbo and another n/a. Reguardless if they run well or not.

id say it would be worth it if the 90 drives off, fix whatever major problems and you can use the 88 for parts put the two cars together and u'd have a nice supra, what turbo's on the 90?
