Can Ford/GM compete with a company that can make a 268hp V6 for $1000 and puts it in everything including the Sienna minivan I just bought.

Actually a repost... but a worthwhile one at that.

It will be nice 10 years from now, when all the parts for those are still availible because there is still a demand. Much cheaper also. Your technicians will get very used to the system, their tech schools can have more focus on the other details of the cars. Very smart move on Toyota. Much less R&D.
