Hey Guys,

I just need to get a headcount or a ballpark figure of who is interested in Dynoing.

Some basic Starter figures:

$70.00 for 3 Pulls on their DynoJet.

$90.00/Per Hour for Tuning. (You tune).

Thanks! :icon_razz

Well, I'm glad to see more votes for "YES" than anything...

But I'm hoping for some more! :)

Keep me posted. I'm updating the original thread as frequently as possible.

Thanks,
-Jeff

Jeff.... where the hell did you learn to negotiate? $70 for a group rate is a rip, even if its only 3 cars dynoing. Do I need to call in the negotiator?
FYI, at their open house they were doing 3 pulls for $50 and 1 pull for $30.
Call em back and re-negotiate. Make me proud. Tell them how much money they can make selling chinese manifolds to all us dumb Supra guys. :naughty:

It's hard to put on a supra meet or any meet for that matter. Everyone thinks they can do a better job, but nobody wants to do it. It's harder than you think to get everything organized and more than half the people happy. You can't please everyone so you just try and please the majority.

Armondo, maybe you should call the dyno shop and negotiate and that will be one less thing Jeff has to worry about. I'm sure he has his hands full with other aspects of the meet. Be strong and don't take no for an answer.

Oh I know how much of a PITA it is man, I stopped organizing meets years ago just cause of that. People show up and they get shitty cause of one minor detail or another. Then they blame you cause so and so didnt show up, or cause the restaurant you picked for lunch doesnt have vegan tofu flavored milkshakes and whatnot... or cause they were driving like dumbasses and drove their car off a cliff in brown county... or cause my exhaust is too stinky and they cant breathe when they drive behind me... blah blah blah. Man, I can hear it again now like its yesterday! Real meets take weeks of work, and if you do them right its like having a full time job for the last two weeks before they materialize. Mostly, I just like to give Jeff Hell. (That and the thread was dead at the bottom of the forum) Im gonna see him tomorrow, so if he doesnt mind, Ill ask him if hell let me take over negotiations for the dyno cost. :D I wont step on his toes tho, so Ill talk to him first. Only thing worse than bitching about a meet is people stepping on your toes when youve already put a bunch of work into it.

guess I need to work on my internet "just messin with ya" voice.

Will there be a lowest dyno number award? I think I can get that!
I can see it now... "The bottle cap for the lowest number goes too..." :sarcasm:

Armando! You're such a dick...lol. (just messing with ya voice) :biglaugh:

Well, here's how the dyno session came to place.
From previous meets, I've come to the realization that if 20 people say they are going to dyno...On Dyno Day, maybe 10 will dyno.
I won't point fingers or say it's anyones fault, but shit happens sometimes.

And for that reason, is why I went ahead and settled with the rate of $70 for 3 pulls.
I told him from the get-go, there's going to be a lot of interest, but there's a good chance the headcount will shrink come Dyno time.

HOWEVER, Since things are starting to get a bit stickier and I'm starting to have a lot more questions regaurding Dyno's, I'm going to give Andy @ EMOTOR a ring and see if we can work something out again.

Jay - You're 100% right, things can get a bit frusterating sometimes.
It especially doesn't help much when you're rushing to get your car done and nothing is going right. :icon_conf .....I suppose we'll see!

Hope things are going well for everyone else that plans to dyno! :D
