My fuel gauge seems to be inaccurate when it comes to the reading. I'll fill it up, drive for a bit, then it will jump to a little more than half, and then go back up, down, and whatever. Also, it seems the warning light for low fuel won't come on. Maybe that is because of the gauges inaccuracy?

I had to pull my sending unit out of the tank and clean the contacts off for mine to work properly. It had a coat of "varnish" film from old fuel. This is a great time to check the low fuel warning light switch because it is also in the sending unit. It is accessible without pulling the tank through the access door on top. Plus one to Toyota.

I get that exact same thing. It's pretty accurate until about half way and then it will go down and up quite a bit. It went down to the E today and I filled up and it only put in 13.9gal...the tank is 18.8gal...

I get a similar problem when I fill up at a certain gas station. If I fill the tank the guage will go to full, fut a a red light in will gradually drop to empty. However it only happens at Mohawk gas stations, every other gas stations are fine. I just stopped going to mohawk.
