In / out shaft play on my 60-1

hey i know this isnt my thread but can someone help me bought a turbo from v8 hunter n he said it have no play so i though i was safe i got him to send me pics n all n everything looked good. By the way its a ct26 60-1, when i got the turbo today the shaft doesnt move left to right or up n down however it mover in and out like a mother F****R (1-2mm) how much will it cost to fix n should i even try or jus get my money back if possible?

That is a common problem with 60-1 Upgraded CT-26's the trust bearing on them is only a 270 deg. Its not made to handle the extra load that the 60-1 wheel puts on it. Rebuilding it will cost you quite a bit depending on the total damage. I have seen thise take out compressor covers, compressor wheels and full CHRA on a few, its not a worth wile in the end.

thanx man thats wat i thought, man that pisses me off i asked all the right questions when buying it like is there any play n then he jus open faced lied to me sweet

send it to a shop to get looked at before you scrap the idea of the turbo. a rebuild of just the seals and other misc. stuff is under $300... but still sucks that you got lied to.
