Hello everyone.

I'm Matthew from Southern California. I have been a member on Supramania and SocalSupras for some time now. Although I don't post often, I do receive the lion's share of Supra information from Supramania.

Being that I've owned my car for 4 years and daily"ed" it, I've already worked on my car. So this isn't a total rebuild thread. Maybe a diary:sarcasm:. Here is the car:

I've have been lucky enough to have owned only 1 supra, my 89. I have been through most Supra related catastrophes. I've have been through one motor, which was lost to BHG. My fault though.

My Supra has a built Driftmotion 7M-GTE, 57-trim, and full-exhaust. Bilstein+Rs*R suspension, F&M&R&UR and Master cylinder braces. Also a Blitz boost controller and Koyo Radiator. Also other things here and there.

The reason why I started this thread was my Supra most definitely has a motor issue; crankwalk.

Overall goal 350Rwhp.

While the car is down, I want to:
Re-coat the undercarriage
Stainless steel brake-lines
Full-flow oil cooling system
Power Steering cooler
Battery Relocation
Synchronic BOV
IC piping and Intercooler
Driftmotion Oil line
BIC Engine Brace
Prosport Gauges
Shim oil pump
Lower Front Ball joints
Fuel pump, injectors, DM SS lines, SAFC, and Lipp AFM housing.
Bushing kit(if it's made)
Then a tune.

Here and there, I want to make a few things. First, a stealthy way to house 4 gauges and a SAFC. Second, a quarter window delete, I want to smooth the interior a bit. I can't see out of the windows anyhow.

BTW The Supra has been given a break it is completely a hobby car. It was replaced with my Z.

Any input along the way or questions or inspiration is welcomed.

Engine will be coming out on Sat/23. Then it's time to find a machinist.

My guess would be he is planning on taking out the rear quarter windows and using sheet metal to cover it?? Might look good, its not like you can see much outa that window any way right?

What's Zappening Joe?! Hope everything is going well with you and your car. I wonder where Mike T. went to?

The quarter window delete won't go that far. I can't see the Supra without that window, unless the rear hatch was transformed into something similar to a MR-2 rear window design.

I personally can't see well through the windows and hate how 3 of 3 recommended "tinters" tinted my quarter windows. I plan on leaving the window there, but fitting in a piece(foam possibly) with blue vinyl one side black vinyl the other to totally black out the window side and make the cabin side smooth. On that smooth side I would like to have "SUPRA" embroidered on it. I figure this will streamline the interior quite a bit. I also plan on leaving the rear seats, but tossing the seatbelts. We'll see.

Right now i'm thinking expanding foam that can be molded, any other ideas for this projects creation?

get naked & boost a supra
nice looking car matt, if you plan on upgrading the afm housing with the one made by Lipp, you should also consider upgrading the injectors.
lexus afm or Lipp will give about 25% more air
550's will give about 25% more fuel with out confusing the computer.

good luck

never mind, i see now where you have injectors as an upgrade:biglaugh:
i need to quit skimming and start reading

Thanks for the information. Those(injectors) are some of the parts I forgot to mention I have, they are just waiting to be cleaned and installed!

I do have another question, beyond the questions I already asked,
How do I properly prepare the car for project work, specifically tire care? I dont want flatspots.

There was a guy who did the window delete on here before. He moulded in mustang tail lights and did a few other things but I dont think he ever finished it. I think it was a burnt orange color or something.

Really! Was it interior or exterior?

Do you have pictures?

I think his name was noxide and he had a build thread. He use to have a pic of his car with rims and a bomex kit that looked alright but he still got flamed pretty bad.

I'm done with a half a day of work.

I found the hardest part of working on a project and not a daily is staying focused on what to do first.

I started with the engine removal, which is why the car is a project. I didn't have a Cherry Picker, so I'll remove the engine next weekend. Don't think it's not ready to pull out, it is. All I need is the picker.

When I was done with the motor, I started cleaning parts here and there and started going here and there on the car.

Removed the rear seatbelts.
I see I'm going to need extra rear window interior panels so I can start making the rear interior window delete...right?
Removed my old gauges and started to clean the wiring behind it. I'm gonna need ideas on what to do with my SAFC, BController, 4Prosport gauges.
Assembled the BIC Engine Brace. This was a great baby step.

Cleaned my FSB. I want to get rid of the red in my engine bay!

I was happy for today's progress. No rush, no broken parts.

I also need a thin durable material to sandwich between the body and Bomex Whaletale wing. My paint is being raped.

I did leave the day with something bothering me. I do not want to hack my wiring harness to install my 550 injectors. Anyone know if there are adpaters instead of hardwiring?

Cheers

The exhuast is a Greddy SP. Although, I removed the standard Greddy Staggered chambered resonator for a straight chambered Powerstick usually used on muscle cars. The powerstick at WOT makes the exhaust roll on itself if that makes sense.

Matt-

(Should I remove the ac?....Ummm...)
