Importing from States

I was wondering if anyone on here has tried to import a vehicle form the states. Im looking to possibly buy a DD from the States and would then need to get it into the country. If those of you with experience/knowledge could give me an overview of the process it would help alot.

Im looking for a 1993 -1998 Grand Cherokee. In Canada the prices arent very reasonable. Just over the border in Ohio etc. there are many Jeeps that fit my requirements for hlaf the price. If it isn't too much of a PITA I would prefer to buy a cheaper American vehicle.

My limited knowledge extends to whether or not the vehicle was sold in Canada. If it was, as in your case, then it should be leaps and bounds easier than if you wanted to import say a skyline or a 2004 mr2 spider.
