Thanks for the welcomes guys. I finished the wiring extension this past weekend and the motor is about 90% prepped and ready to go in. I had some trouble with the knock sensors... everyone was saying I had to use USB cable to lengthen them and some were saying I need to re-wire them completely. We ended up splicing down near the connector [where I doubt interference will ocur] using regular 18ga wire. It should be okay.

Welcome to the site. Those sc300 are nice cars. And putting a 1j in there should be really neat.

On a side note, you do know that the knock sensor wires are shielded, so the actually have two wires inside the insulation. One outer shielding, and one core.

The fact that you mentioned interference make me assume you do know.

It's been fun so far. The car just got fresh paint and 97+ front. I'm going to order a Greddy Boost Cut controller in the morning from Titan........ another question - is a double walled muffler quieter than a single walled muffler?

Thanks for the speedy reply. Well Supra Forums just doesn't seem like a good tech forum anymore...... just whiney folks, grudges, and porn. :icon_bigg About the muffler. I'm going to run dual magnaflow mufflers..... these are 3" straight through double walled with a 4" tip. I'm just making sure I pick a quiet muffler.

I run a magnaflow & I love it. It has a deeper sound than the fart cans. They are very nice units.
