I'm Stumped

The other day I started my car up and and it ran fine. The next day I took the elbow and downpipe off along with the O2 sensor and I replaced them with a suprasport elbow and 3 in downpipe. I'm using the same O2 sensor as before. Well, after getting everything hooked back up the car will not start. I am not getting any spark. I tried the spare ignitor I have and still nothing. I used the Supermonitor to check for codes and it says ENG-OK. The tach does not move when I crank it. I tried disconnecting the battery for a little while and then hooked it back up and still nothing. I've already repaired the CPS wiring prior to this event and it started and ran fine. I jiggled them just to see and nothing.

I was wondering if disconnecting the 02 sensor might have tripped something in the ECU. Anybody have suggestions on where to start?

Fixing your girl's car
Those O2 sensor connectors can be tough to get apart, and when it finally does give, usually, unless you know it's coming and brace yourself, you end up smashing the CPS wiring.

I'd triple check that CPS wiring.

The car will run with no o2 sensor at all.
Think Think!!
You must have unplugged something.

I looked at every plug I could see and they're all plugged in. I'll go look again.

The plug for O2 sensor is not near the CPS so I never touched the CPS wires when removing everything.

what he meant was the electrical connection for the 02 sensor not where the 02 sensor is mounted by the elbow. You should have another o2 sensor by the actual catalytic converter just look underneath and check everything. also the only way your coilpack and igniter get trigerred is by your cps pls check your wiring at the cps.

Ok apparently I still have some wiring issues with the CPS. In a fit of anger I wiggled every damn wire around the CPS and it started! Sooo I decided to take it for a brief test drive and when I halfway attempted to get on it a little I hit fuel cut and got a Code 34 (man I love the Supermonitor!!!). I popped the hood and noticed the soft hose coming off the 3000 pipe was blown off.
I'm running an open 3" downpipe right now and 3" elbow. Would that cause it to over boost or do I maybe have a BOV issue?

The cps plug is a piece of garbage. I took a four prong connector for trailer wiring and redid mine, works fine now.

As far as the overboosting issue, I would check the vacuum line running to the wastegate...could've fallen off/broken while working on it.

You will have more boost with an upgraded elbow & downpipe, hitting the fuel cut will be a little easier. Especially if you have your wastegate shimmed.
Did you fix the pipe?

The previous "fix" I did I cut the distributor plug off of my na harness and spliced it onto my gte harness. The plugs are a direct fit for pre 89. And I also used a different CPS that I had laying around since it had good wires. Now only if I had remembered to put a new 0-ring on. Apparently it's leaking around the CPS since it's smoking so bad around it. Add that to my list of things.

I put the hose back on, come to find out I had forgotten to tighten the clamp down. I tightened it and took it for another spin and did not have any problems. With the open downpipe you can hear the turbo spooling very loud.

I need to get a boost gauge for it.

i run open dp pretty much all the time...

...well, I have a 3" in/out "race muffler" from summitt that's basically just enough to be considered a muffler when i go to track days that pretty much does nothing as far as sound is concerned, but it satisfies them, so whatever.

I ran an Open test pipe once for a few miles. Couldn't stand the semi-truck sound of it, had to put the exhaust on.

I'm sad to say this, but I actually lost probably ~10 WHP with the exhaust on, but I'll take that sacrafice for a better sound ;).
