Hey guys wats up... lemme cut to the chase. my uncle had an 87 t, which i thought he was going to hand down to me when i got older... i got screwed, and he ended up getting me an 86 n/a for a couple hundred bucks which i actually kinda like... but its lagging in power, and i got used to the turbo whine from his 87. So i did my research found this forum, and after a couple weeks of reading, i wanna ditch the 7mge and go rebuilt 7mgte, 1j, or even 2jz... WHOO HOO!!! lemme know what you guys think...

good luck with making your decision, ive been trying to make mine for a while, too much damn time before summer when i can build it. all that ill tell you is before you do ANYTHIGN is research, research, research. oh and go to at least one supra meet per year, check the regional forum section for those.

I wouldn't call getting a car for free "getting screwed" don't be an ingrate. Be happy you have a supra to pimp.

Psh I got a free NA and am happy with it. Better then me getting a turbo with BHG. And for engine swapping.. lets just say have fun with it and always have some extra money to back it up because it usually doesn't go as planned.

You guys are awesome... im a lil late, but thanks for the replies. Im basically in the process of rebuilding my 7m, and getting my turbo upgraded. This with some decent fuel, and intercooler upgrades, and some other performance parts, should get the car to where i want it to be (FAST). But at the same time I dont want to invest too much money into a car that is 21 years old... I wanna get a fresh paint job, shave the moldings, throw in some subs, upgrade the speakers, and my supra shall be complete... Hit me up with any ideas if any...
