Hey, i'm gonna be running the 2008 NASA Time Trial series, yay! Before that though i'm at a drift next month at Thunderhill, then Nov. 11 NASA HPDE at Infineon. There's only 1 time trial left this season (i was too late) so i'm just gonna do the HPDE. Then i might run the 1st 12 hours of the Thunderhill Enduro on Dec. 1st.

So thats my racing schedule... for now

I got a couple sponsors, my shop Enduro Motorsports, for one. The boss is taking care of my entry fees. I have a tire sponsor, Monroe Tire, but i may be going to a different tire sponsor since Monroe doesn't want to supply good tires. If anyone here feels like helpin me out, i'll wear your name proudly :naughty: *cough* 935 *cough* MDC *cough* ARZ ;)

Wow, thanks 935 & CK. I'll get on those emails. I'm picking up a 2JZ today although that'll be for the 2009 season. I'll be prepping and building it while i run the 2008 with the 7M.

Thats awesome MK3runner, yeah hopefully i'll see you out there. For my updates you can check out my myspace. I need to update my pics tho.

The Time Trials sometimes run along the open trackers, it'd be cool to run w/ you Boris.

Robert, CK- i'm trying to email you guys my proposal, email's acting funny though. Hopefullly it'll go through tonight though

Grimsta, how long have you been doing track stuff? I run the NASA auto-x series in Mid Atlantic region now but my plan is to make this a time trial car, gotta work through the HPDE levels to get there.
If you want to trade insight/tips let me know. Too bad it's opposite coasts, I'd like to see another mk3 at the track sometime.

i've been doing "official" track stuff since the beginning of this year. You wont have to go through ALL the HPDE levels, infact they kind of prefer you dont since it clogs their system. Since you have previous track experience you may only have to do 2 or 3 weekends before you move into the Time Trials. You can start in level 2 then if they sign you off you may be able to go right to level 4 and then do a Time Trial. Thats the route i'm going. Maybe i'll see Geoff out there too.

I think you'll have a hard time prying him from the RX to bring his mk3 out there. From what I understood, you have to progress through group 3 to do time trials, I know I'm not ready yet, it's much different than auto-x at the speeds you see but it's so addictive.
Keep us posted, maybe we can get some more folks interested in coming to events soon. Glad to hear there's someone else I can compare notes with, I've got to catch up though.

Cool man, I've ridden in 3 a few times, it's a world of difference from the pace of 1. I'm learning all I can along the way, the advanced guys are far beyond me right now (rotating with gators and controled sliding/recovery in high speed corners)
Show them the mk3 can compete Grimsta!

I have deep connections with good tire companies, I work with Ernie Fixmer and I'm sure we can pull some strings to help you out. I don't know if we are late on this, but contact us.

I'll remember your sponsors when I'm sitting in the back of my grassroots level tow vehicle (98' Tacoma) and drinking high life camping at the track to save $$ :)

Glad you're getting that stuff together Grimsta, maybe one day we can run an event (Nationals in Ohio?)

Hey, at least you get to drink! I can even afford that after gassing up my beast to get to the track (04 Titan). BTW How the hell can a Tacoma tow a Supra? Doesn't the Soup weigh more than the truck? And with a trailer i know thats way overpowering that things towing ability. Go thru any trannys or rear ends yet?

Nationals FO SHO. I plan on it! Thats really gonna suck for gas tho for me
