my idle speed control valve was not connected causing my idle to be around 2000 rpm. i finally hooked it up and it went down but is still idling at about 1000-1200 rpm (it varies sometimes) and at initial start-up it surges the rpm up and down until it warms up. what can i do to fix this???? do i have to get a new sensor or can i clean this or fix it or something?? thank for any help.

ahhh never mind guys i just did a search and found a bunch a stuff. sorry for takin up room.... but are there ways to clean this sensor instead of buying a new one???? only way i saw so far is with a can of brake clean. and i also read if u take the hose of the isc and cork it and the idle drops down then the valve is bad......... i hope this isnt true because thats what mine does. i think maybe its sticking??
