just wondering if it was normal that it idles a bit high when its cold(1200 or so) and it slowly drops as it gets warmer? and it seems like im running rich at idle, i smell alot of fuel in the exhaust when its stone cold, and when its warm it isnt not a bad...i know when most engines are cold they run richer but this seems a bit more than any other car...well maybe its a supra thing?

this is for most cars made..... it will idle a bit high and come down... its warmup.

it smells rich because the cold start injector.. its an extra injector that sprays some extra gas when you start the engine, to get it going quicker.

your car is fine =)

Depends on whats causing it to idle at that speed. You could just have a dirty/old ISC (Idle speed controller), or something more serious. Check your codes and see what you get.

For me codes 41 and 51 are making it Idle at a constant 1000 RPM. Other than the fuel I'm burning and being stuck in limp mode I cant think of too much harm coming from it since I don't drive it hard. I plan to get it taken care of ASAP though and rarely ever drive it.
