My car is 89 7mgte recently acting weird . Cold start at 1000rpm 13.4 volt after 20 seconds it start drop to 500rpm 11.5 volt then 400rpm 11.4volt then it died , i replaced it with fresh battery and alternator . There is no check engine on but when i do diagnostic it found code 51 any help would be greatly appreciated !!!:1zhelp:

Most likely your TPS is out. Does your A/C work? I believe it shares the same signal with the TPS, I don't exactly know how the two systems work together but keep the A/C button off and if the code still there Im going to assume most likely it needs adjustment or replacement. Here check this:

Thank you for quick response , so should i use .015 - .02 shim or .0015 -.002 shim clearance between lever and stop screw before i check IDL and E2 for ohm . My AC is not working so i bypass it for now .
I just cleared the code and press a/c button , the code does not come back on , A/C compressor still have no signal so it doesn't turn on yet and idle problem still the same .
Its not cause a/c then. 51 came on because of tps.

Idle problem is fixed ! I found alternator wire and battery wire are rotten so I replaced them with new bigger wires same as ground wires . The stop screw surface at throttle body is worn out little caused idle drop so i readjused to 700rpm when engine fully warmed up , now it idle 700rpm when engine warm up as it should . As for A/C code 51 it's A/C pressure switches , because i replaced and checked everything else . Thank you SUPRAMANIA and Supra members for all your helps !!!:thumbup:
