car doesn't raise idle on startup. have to press on gas a little bit to start up car. and then it's supposed to be above 1,500 rpm for a couple of minutes to warm up but mine doesn't even go up to 1500 on it's own. also sluggish and a little hesistation. anyone in chicago come by and help if you would like. any suggestions.

it sounds like a spark problem to me too. Have you ever replaced your plugs on your car? And if they have been previously, did the person you bought it off put the right ones in? how long have you had the car? One of your plugs could be mechanically damaged due to foreign objects or improper reach to the piston. Pull them out, its not too bad :naughty:

i changed the plugs recently and i remember checking the gap and they were in specs. but the fuel is about 1 year old lol. hopefully that's the problem. i'm waiting on a bumper so i can actually drive it around more. i've been driving 5 minute cruises illegally at night. and here's another funny thing. when i close my hood the car dies lol. hopefully that's due to no intake b4 the afm( not suctioning right--waiting forever for that from a website i don't want to say)

Make sure you the afm plug is seated correctly. I took mine off and it had the same effect, once i plugged it back in it was fine. Also could be a bad ic leak, check hoses if you took any off recently.

before or after? before would be on the filter side which has nothing right now. and after is the normal fat pipe that has like 3-4 hoses attached to it and that is sealed good. how would you check for boost leak that's pretty hard to do
