identify this: R154 or W58??

I'm new to all this supra/JZ stuff. This is the transmission that I got with my motor(1jzgte). When I first looked at it, it looked like the harder to find soarer r-154. Can anyone confirm?? I really hope this is not the w58. does the w58 have inspection plates?? The transmission in the pics does the plates

p.s. I didn't have the shifter lever when I took the pics. I can take pics of that if needed

I've never seen a 1jz come with a w58............I'm not saying they didn't, just that I've never heard of it.

It looks like it just has a different shifter housing. Everything else looks pretty much like a r154. I've never heard of 1j with w58 either.

The back end of it looks wrong to be any r154 I have seen. However the front end of it and the bellhousing look like they are a r154.

Perhaps you have a halfbreed mutation created when a r154 and w58 were locked in a small room together for a long time.

I think it likely is a r154 with some odd to me backend on it.

ok identify this #2. I have 2 motors. Both look like Motors/wiring from a soarer


here's the harness that I will be using. are these both soarer harness? I can get more pics if needed

2 in front EB1 & EB2
With ignitor pack connector & diode connector by the front.

Then what comes off the back of the engine IK1, IK2, IJ1, IJ2, II1 for climate systems if you read the sticky thread swap info soarer into mkiii by the back I have a doc posted with connectors & conntector pics and most all the pins mapped out.

Haha look at the hotpipe and the gauge cluster plug. Not to mention the tranny. It's all jzx90 stuff. Now let's see that traction throttle body to confirm.

Btw, wanna sell me your motor mounts? I can always use them.
