89 and up will hae 160 mph and 88-86.5 will only have 140mph well actually 150 but it will just say 140

Remove the oil pan and check what crank is in it. You are going to remove the oil pan any ways to replace the oil pump and reseal the pan so it dosen't leak correct ;)

My early JDM engine came with the weaker block & 6M crank.
I just bought a late engine (rod knock), that has the stongerer block, and had the 7M crank.
Sorry, I have no years on either of these.

Late 88 (August 88 to December 88) and Early 89 (January 89 - Mid Year) Blocks are the revised blocks with 6M cranks, After that they came with 7M cranks for the JDM Supras, right before it was replaced with the 1JZ.
