well i have had my car for one year as of today! a couple of days ago me and my dad where watching my texes and vegas supra dvd's. as my dad watched i could tell he was really intrested. since my car is basiclly stock and slow as ass he asked me if i wanted to build up my car. i told him i have been looking into it but i dont know really where to start or do i know what to do at all as far as actually putting the shit on. i know there is a guy named steve vang that did i friend of mines supra and he a chieved 400hp. i am looking for about 300to400 horsepower! i am in no way shape or form the guy to do this and i need to know a shop or someone on here who would like to actually do my buildup. for what i want to do i know is this....
mods
bigger turbo
full exhaust
ecu

now as you know thhat to me is what makes a car faster....
i know there is alot of internal shit i dont know?
i am basiclly asking everyone for help? i either need a shop nearby michigan or illinois or indiana or someone off of here. i would order everything imaginable to make my car a beast and whoever wants to help could get something out of it to:)$$$
i want to keep the cars apperince stock. no rims no interior mods unless absolutly neccesary..... my car is very rare and i want to keep as it came off the line as an AUTOMATIC. but it needs to be built up. so built up engine and trans to make 300-400bhp. anybody up for it?

Get out a notebook and pen.... and begin your search. :)

Begin with fuel. (Always) 550cc is fine for you.
Get a MKIV pump
AFPR
IC pipes
Spearco IC
Easy SP bolt on turbo
DP
WB
SAFC
clutch
BRAKES

You're good for 400.... just make sure you don't pop your HG
and keep a good tune.

(Oh btw... this means nothing if your motor is already pooped.)

How close can you get to Detroit? The Doc might still be in the business of working on Supras... check out his webpage at http://4cefed.com and send him an email.

As for those goals, you won't need that much to get there. The tranny is going to be a problem, they don't appreciate that much power... other than that, what everyone else said, fuel, IC piping and IC, boost control, slightly upgraded turbo - I'd be willing to bet you could do these numbers with a 57 trim upgrade on a stock turbo.

ceres
550cc injectors
lex afm
walbro fuel pump
upgrade ct-26 (57 trim or 60-1) or bolt on sp series
aftermarket intercooler w/ hard pipes
aftermarket bov
boost controller
MHG with arp hardware (don't need to achieve 400 hp, but for insurance that you won't get a bhg)
3-inch ss elbow w/ 3-inch downpipe
aftermarket or custom cat-back

should put you in the 350 - 400 bhp range. With some tuning with a S-AFC or other piggyback fuel computer you can easily break the 400whp mark.

do allot of reading and go over the maft pro threads as much as you can.

also your tranny is gonna cost allot more if you want it auto and 400hp. start hunting for a rebuild of a gm transmission swap. we cant just tell you step by step who to call and wut to buy, get informed or get ripped off.

I come from a land down under
Go through the car and double check ALL of the normal maintainence items before you start trying to wring more power from it.

Brakes would be high on my list before adding power, once you have those 2 sorted go for it! :)
