UPDATE: BHG
Pulled the head off on my days off, and it looks like someone before me pulled it off and had zero clue what they were doing. It looks like the head might have some damage will not know until i can clean it nice and good. As you can tell in the pics in post 11 the HG and is toast.

I was on the highway and get off and i have a rough idle. Thinking it was bad gas since i got it out of storage 2 days prior.

Tried to start the car and got a strange noise, thinking its just the starter, i pop the hood and look under the car just to check thing out, could not see anything. So i try and start it again and the same metal on metal noise and coolant sprays out near the cat and the lovely white smoke out the tail pipe. Oil was just changed and level was and is fine. I am going to start the tear town and was checking to see what it might be?

Thanks

Check the rubber cap on the hardline near the firewall.

Also check all of the 90 degree rubber bends at the back of the motor.

What would explain the awful noise? Coolant in the cylinder?

Describe the noise better if you can?

It sounded like metal on metal, almost like the starter on an auto when it is started but more of a metal sound, it was so loud people 20 feet away herd it.

Sorry if that makes no sense it was so painful to hear.

You don't need high quality pics to see that damage. Your're going to have to take it all apart and check the bearings they have to be bad by the looks of your HG, looks to me like it's been going on for a while.

Can you take the pistons out from the bottom of the car with the engine still in to change the rod bearings or do you have to pull the motor?

It can be done that way it's a PITA though. Everything should be gauged to see if anything needs machined.
