Well I am 6'2" tall and have a 34" waist...180lbs...I am a MEDIUM "BUILD"...so i am guessing the width is the biggest factor...and if i can fit in a Bride Brix 2 seat.....I am cool...becuase those are the TIGHTEST fitting seats for the american market....but they fit "well"....

But if you have bigger than a 34" waist..i would re-consider...

I read a seat buyers guide article in SCC a while back and they said a 34" waist is medium....25-30 is small...Japanese small... :yelrotflm

they are uncomfortable becuase you got a Tenzo R seat.....Jeez man hahahahahaha

If you got a Bride or Sparco or Recaro....I highly doubt you would be complaining...

but in your case i guess form( as in price) follows function...

I think i will go for a Veilside seat in the red, they take Bride seat rails too....those are around another $180 shipped from Fizz autosports in New York...

VeilSide VSD-1 Racing Seat is based on a custom design from our R1 Street Drag R32 Skyline GT-R race car. The design centers around the driver's inputs on driving comfort and the ability to manuever while still being strapped tightly to the vehicle.

I found the video of the Veilside R32 ( on the 1/2 mile run) and he is running that seat...I froze the video and compared....100% match...

so yes, they arent lieing about using the seat in there own personal cars...for time attacks and what not...

-Jonathan

PS: one thing i worry about is head/neck support....the back looks sort of low.

Doom, I gotta agree with Siman on that one. Everyone who sits in my Sparco's is amazed by how comfy they are. I used to get a backache when on long trips in the stock seat, I honestly don't have that problem with the Sparco's.
hmm thats wierd the stock seats are the most comfertable thing i have ever sat in. All with there 4 way power direction and lumbar function. Oh well my tenzo are not bad at first i couldn't stand them but there good now too sit in, Just hard climbing into and out of them.

I bought generic EBay specials - black simulated leather Sparco Torino replicas. Was about $350 shipped for TWO seats. Aside from trying to get them mounted in [making my own brackets], they are perfect. I sat in one while working on my wiring harness for a few hours, and it was pretty damn comfortable. I'd rather sit in it than the 8-way adjustable office chairs we have at work..

..so no, just because it's cheap doesn't mean it sucks.

So far the only thing more comfortable than the stock seat I've sat in was basically a Recaro racing shell. The sides were borderline tight, and the shop even had a 5pt attached to it. The tighter fit for me, the better, so long as my head isn't above the back of the seat. I have the TT-R recaros right now, and I must say they are pretty damn comfortable... for STOCK seating no less. One day I'd like to pick up some brackets and SRDs.

If you want an uncomfortable seat, try a Camaro seat. If you have back problems like me, you will probably prefer putting a gun to your head to taking a long trip. ;)

Dude, Siman - I've had the bug forever. A military man cannot afford this hobby. My ultimate goal is a MkIII with an AEM managed 2JZ and 500-700rwhp.

I didn't know that your seats were replicas I absolutely love mine, though.
