http://tiretrends.com/ has some decent deals now and then, and they ship from Canada.

is there a car with similar wheel size? it wont let me search by wheel size and the supra isn't in the database. Unless the only way to do it is to go through the brands?

I am also looking for wheels and in Windsor, Ontario.. there arent many people selling them locally with the right sizes.. i dont really wanna drive 4 hours to toronto. and detroit is just across the river but i wouldnt know how to get 4 rims and tires across the border without having to pay for duties/taxes.. etc
any suggestions?

also i checked out tirerack.com discounttire.com etc.. those websites how do you search by wheel size?

how do you guys get your perfect staggered wheel setup?

When I picked out a wheel that I liked on tirerack I was also dissappointed by the fact that you can't buy a wheel without first entering your vehicle, which limits your choice to a single width and offset that fits all around. I found this on this on the site (Why Shop by Vehicle for Wheels?):

Experience indicates that searching by wheel size, offset and/or bolt pattern alone are not specific enough criteria to ensure an exact fitment.

Attention to detail prevents vibration, wheel/tire interference and unbalanced handling. A vehicle's critical components are measured with sophisticated electronic tools to allow our fitment engineers the ability to create extremely accurate drawings of these parts. Similar drawings of the wheels are also created and then Computer Aided Design (CAD) programs match the wheels to the vehicles. Using these electronic tools numerous critical areas are verified to ensure the fit is within our standards before a wheel can be matched to a vehicle. Wheel size, offset and bolt pattern are measured and each wheel's style/spoke design, the vehicle's brake caliper shape and many other variables are checked for proper clearance and fit. Because of the numerous wheel/vehicle combinations, this often means each wheel has to be individually tested on the vehicle either manually or electronically using the CAD data.

Other items we measure or verify:

Bolt Pattern
Centerbore Diameter
Hub Diameter
Load Capacity
Lug Hardware
Suspension Components Clearance
Read detailed information on what we measure here.

Custom applications? If you have a custom fitment, our sales specialists will gather the information needed to verify fitment and will then confer with our fitment engineers to determine the selection of wheels available for your custom vehicle. Contact Tire Rack

I haven't tried this yet because I'm not getting wheels for a while due to a change of plans, but I'd like it if someone can try this and let us know of what kind of selection they really do have.

Centerbore Diameter is a big one for me. I had some wheels that where installed on a celica, the Centerbore Diameter was not right and it vibrated like crazy.

check out the Wheel Fitment & Question Thread

find a car you like and ask around for pics of cars with that size and off set.
That's what I did.
wheel shopping sucks if you doing all the foot work your self.

Discounttiredirect.com allows you to search by wheel size. Just click on the Wheels option and then select your size. As for getting your wheels across the border, why not put the new wheels on before you cross? Since you have sawblades, just tell the border patrol you got them for free for drag racing and drifting at the track.

ok so on the site. im searching the wheels and in the size it says for example 18X8 5-114.3 45GBM

what does the 45GBM mean? would that be the offset?

yes, 45gbm is to offset. Meaning those have an offset of +45

Partially correct. "45", is the offset, the "gbm" refers to the wheels finish. The Tire Rack will not stop you from buying wheels that don't match your vehicles fitment chart, you just have to look for them using other vehicles.
MkIV Supra's, Nissan 350Z/Infinity G35, and Ford Mustangs all have 5x114.3 lug patterns, so that's a start. Just make sure you get wheels that aren't centerbored specifically for other car makes! Usually, most aftermarket wheels are 73mm, and you just use hub-centric rings. If the salesperson still gives you flak, just let them know you've done your homework, and the vehicle is modified to fit what you want. Nissan 350Z's, have some great agressive offset wheels, but alot of them will require you to have rolled fender lips.

It might not be what you're looking for, my Mustangs have the same bolt pattern as ours and some wheels have the right offset. You just need to find a wheel you like. I have 17" x 9" polished aluminum Cobra SVT rims on my Supra. Often times you can find them locally for far cheaper than buying new rims online... I know I did! Check out my sig for a pic.
