Not that my post will help; but, it may...

I've heard of people doing it. Risky...

I figure that even if you have to wait a little while before you can get a new one, it may save you $$ in the long run. You don't want anything to go wrong when you've got 400 ponies pulling your wagon! :D

Many people re-use MLSHG's, some more than twice (IJ might have used his half a dozen times). As long as its not damaged in some way it can be used. You will need drill the rivets and take it apart to strip off ALL the viton from every layer, but it can and has been done lots of times.

strip it with acetone on ALL layers top and bottom, then use copper spray on all layers when you put it back onto the engine.

IJ has reused the same one 3 or 4 times now? a bunch of people have and been fine...

Thanks guys ......one more question can i cross 400 hp with a stock engine? What do i need?

the best way to make power is to make sure everything is in GOOD condition, and all of your lines are hooked up correctly.

this proves that you can make the power, just need a good tune.

and most people will probably say a 57trim, 3'' exhaust, IC and pipes, i would get a lex afm w/ 550's and a wideband + safc to tune. then you'll need a fuel pump and an AFPR...

what you have to remember though, is if you have 400hp, your brakes better be in good shape too. or your gonna shit your pants.

I've got a 57trim that needs to be rebuilt. It has a turbonetics exhaust housing on it (no wastegate cracks). If you're interested make me an offer.
