Okay, Simple as this. I want to cut an MP3 file down, chop off the first couple seconds, and use it as a ringtone on my telephone. What I'm looking for is a program to let me do that.

Easy - use Audacity, its open source, so its 100% free

I think i may have pointed someone on here in its direction before....it's what i've always used in the last year or so for editing and splicing audio. Handy for making quiet and hissy MP3's louder and clearer too...
