Pretty much my problem is, I sleep like a rock. If my house were to catch on fire while i was asleep, i'd simply die. When i was a kid i used to fall off of the top of my bunk bed, not wake up and continue sleeping on the floor. The past two days, I havn't woken up till at least an hour and a half after my clock's been going off. This won't fly when i go off to college. Does anyone have any advice, or know of a REALLY loud clock?

The kind with the bells on top and the thingy that hits them is the loudest I've seen. I used to sleep for hours after my old alram clock went off, but this one goes off and I wake up instantly.

You sound like my roommate freshman year. She would sleep through anything... especially her alarm clock. And I would feel bad waking her up all the time, but I didn't just want to turn it off and have her sleep through it.

I've heard that having something vibrate by your head can help wake you up (like a phone) but if you've slept through falling off beds then I'm not sure it will help any.

I used to sleep thru my alarm clock all the time. It got to the point where i'd turn it off while i slept. Now I just use the most annoying ring tone on my phone to wake me up. it works quite well. but i dont kno if itll work for u.

I dont need an alarm clock. I have a dumbass next door that starts his Harley up every morning at like 730 in the am. I would kick his ass but he is bigger than me.

i just double up my alarms. i have a quieter alarm set for 5 am and an annoying phone ring tone for 5:05 in case i hit the snooze button.

that has worked for me, and i usually sleep as deeply as you seem to.

if that dosnt work, pay me to hit you with a blown head gasket when you need to get up... :biglaugh:

That's what I do too. Like someone else said, I also use the most annoying ring on my phone. My family hates it. And then I usually put my phone on the other side of the room so in case I hit the snooze I actually have to get up and turn my phone off- much harder then just hitting snooze.

But I bet that one with the bells on top works well (like someone else said).

Yeah I have to put my bell ringy one across the room or I just grab it and put my finger in between the bells and just fall aslep again.

I hate when I sleep thru my alarms. I had to run a real short sleep schedule for school last year-like averaging 3.5ish hours per night for 5-7 months straight, towards the end of that, I slepth thru my alarm ALL THE TIME. I ended up, at one point, with my alarm on the other side of my room, a second one set 3 mins later right at my bed, and my phone's loudest tone for 5 mins after the first one. Never slept thru that :)

I think it was partly cuz I had the alarm since I was 5, and I'm 16 now, so maybe I've gotten used to it? Iono. But now I use my phone anytime I actually need to be for anything important.

Cliffs: Try your phone's alarm!

you just need a loud alarm clock. and you need to put it on the other side of the room. if you put it near your bed, youll just knock it over and go back to sleep like i do. but if its on the other side of the room you have to physically get up and go turn it off.

This started failing for me when I started walking across the room, hitting the snooze then falling back in bed again anyway...

I set my phone alarm then throw my phone somewhere in the room... that way I have to find it.. works good enough

Werd, I tried it. Works at first then you don't even realize you got up and shut it down. Just gotta get your ass up.
