Ok, i have two hard drives. 80gb IDE, and 160gb SATA.

I reformatted my SATA, installed windows XP Pro onto a system partition of the SATA drive.

Now, my computer won't boot from the SATA, but it boots from the IDE drive?
I look in My Computer at my different drives, and all of my OS software is on the SATA drive in the system partition, no Windows stuff at all on the IDE drive, and yet it boots from the IDE.......

Did I miss something?

Boot file was created on the IDE drive, and more than likely your IDE drives jumper is set to master.

easy way to get the boot file onto the SATA? and where do i put it?

Control panel -> System -> Advanced Tab -> StartUp and Recovery -> Settings button -> Edit Button.

Now here is the issue, I don't know how your system is set up, Master/Slave or if its just CS everywhere, if you don't change where it is properly then its going to give you NTRL error and windows wont load.
