okay so i bought my supra about 2 years ago and instantly blew the headgasket, i had the motor rebuilt to stock spec and put the hks metal headgasket with Arp studs. The mistake i made is buying the driftmotion ct57 because my ct26 went bad. I saw that with the ct26 i could have made close to 300 rwhp with bic ddp and a little more boost, so my concern is what can i do with the ct57 to increase my power without hitting fuelcut (if i get the bic ddp will i hit fuelcut or with a regular downpipe?). im not trying to achieve high numbers just a really nice increase because before i go with the piggyback and tuning including supporting mods, i want to get my car looking nice (paint and bodywork) and then suspension. I searched and everything says go lexus afm and 550cc injectors. THIS IS STOCK 7MGTE WITH HKS HG, ARP STUDS AND CT57 THANKS

I do believe you will hit fuel cut with a 60-1 I hit fuel cut at on stock setup at 9psi lol.

I put in the Lexus/560s yes 560 and I've been at 18psi without fuel cut.

Well if i put the ddp it will be boosting a bit higher right? Wont i hit fuel cut?

On a stock CT-26 fuel cut is around 12-14 psi. Without a boost controller I only see ~9-10 psi with a little boost creep if i keep it floored in 5th for a long time. (Very rare since that means I'm doing 100+ mph). With my Profec Boost controller I run ~11psi on the stock CT-26 and I've never hit fuel cut.

I'm not sure exactly how much more air you'd flow with a 57 trim, but I doubt you'd hit fuel cut without a boost controller.

Remember every car and every area is different for some reason i use to hit 13-14lbs without fuel cut on my stock AFM/CT-26 using a SAFC and when i took off the safc i was lucky to hit 10psi without fuel cut

As far as you made a mistake?

It was not a mistake fuel cut is easily fixed and mostly not that expensive if you do end up hitting fuel cut then upgrade to the Lexus/550 mod it can be done for around $300

I hope you have a Wideband because you will want to keep a eye on things regardless I.E condition of Fuel pump/injectors making sure your not leaning out above 11.5 (Is what most will say for a 7M) under boost.

Anyway goodluck let us know how it turns out for you.

I can tell you I had stock fuel with the CT26 57-trim, BIC DDP, 3" version of BIC's thunder exhaust, and 2.5" hard pipes and my car was hitting fuel cut at roughly 11.5psi and would hit that easily by 3500rpm in any gear but 1st. Having the cat in vs. test pipe helped a bit but it would still hit fuel cut. I did do some minor port work and compression was bumped up from a 1.2mm cometic gasket and material taken off the head/block.

I put my entire exhaust system on a friend's car (swapped him for a stock exhaust to get through emissions) and his car was completely stock otherwise (no upgraded wheel on his turbo), and he started hitting fuel cut when under full throttle in 3rd or higher.

Another buddy's Supra had a very similar setup (57-trim turbo) only with a 3" downpipe and stock IC pipes and it was fine until he turned up his boost controller.

Like it's been said before, it varies from car to car.
