I`m stumped

I haue been stumped very early in my supra ownership. The problem is that the car wont run w/o jumping the fp in the diag block under the hood. I have tested and replaced the EFI main relay, fp relay, fp resistor, all the fuses. I dont understand if i`m jumping the fp and the car runs, what could be wrong? Thanx for help in advance

From what i could gather from that it sounds like you have a shrot in the fuel pump wire from the ign to maby the ecm? But it sounds llike your not getting a signal from the ign to the fuel pump saying the car is on.

Have you tried cycling the fp? if not try it.

Circuit opening relay, open wire, bad connection, no pick up from the CPS, many things.

When you jumper the FP terminal you are bypassing the 'circuit opening relay'. The ECU controls this relay and will shut down the pump if it thinks the engine is not running (for safety reasons). In the 7M-GE, this is controlled by a switch in the MAF.

Do you have a GTE or GE? Are there any codes set? Give us a bit more info or follow the diagnostics here:

The car is a 87 n/a 5 speed, so to answer some questions. It is a ge and no codes. If someone could help me what is cycling the fuel pump? Thanx to all fellow supra owners that are help get a supra on the road:-D
