Halsupramk3 said:when you wire in the ait and map sensors be sure that the wires you install for these will not interfere with the oem wiring harness when you may have to remove the engine in the future.
i had to cut a wire to the ait because it was wired in a way that would not allow me to remove the oem engine harness thru its hole in the firewall. be sure to label all wires that are wired into or out of the aem that are other than oem or needed for aem operation.
you can get the aem up into the original location but it has to be crammed. i have my serial wire connected and i shaved off a little piece of the dash up in there to allow more room for the serial port plug. i then put velcro on the dash bar and matched it on the aem so it is suspended. the port plug goes up past the corner of the dash that extends back towards the fire wall when the glove box is removed.
get a wideband to tune with. otherwise you will have to tune on a dyno only. it will help a lot with drivablity tuning going down the road. oem O2 wont work. wiring up a quality power source for a wideband is key.
i am still tuning mine. i also have the gm boost selonoid but have not gotten it to work 100% correct yet.
i have one serial gauge and want at least another one. they are great and can display any output or input of the aem. thats about 19 different parameters.
the learning curve is steep so i hope you have someone to help and can tune it. read the manual multiple times.
