I have brake fluid disappering in my clutch tank

Sup guys, well I was able to bleed the clutch. However, after only driving it for 10 mins or less and parking it. My whole clutch fluid tank would be drained even after refilling and bleeding the clutch. I took a look underneath the tranny and I spotted brake fluid all over the transmission housing. Mainly, the passenger side and even on the shifter housing ( i belive thats what is)I didnt see much around the driver side by the bleeding valve which is awkard. Anyway, thanks in advance for any help you can guide me with instead of paying the almighty corporate.

If there are any diagrams to follow the lines I would appreciate it, it is just kinda hard to see under neath the car with little clearance to look around when I dont know what I am looking at.

That makes no sense cause the line is only on the driver side. It leaves the M/C goes behind the brake booster, then turns down the firewall and in the trans tunnel down to an attaching bracket there the flexable line attaches and links over to the slave cylinder. Unless the leak is under enough pressure to be spraying out and back and bouncing off of something to redirect it to the PASS side, theres no other way that it could be getting to that side or well unless someone at one point did some form of strange routing of the line.

Have you lookes inside where the the M/C rod comes through the firewall to the peddle and made sure that its not leaking out the back of the M/C?

The only other thing that you can really do is Fill it, Bleed it, and have an assistant actuate the clutch while you inspect everything to see where the leak is comming from.

hey guys, i was told of a rubber hosing on the slave cylinder? were is this exactly because i was on a metal nipple to bleed the clutch line on the transmission housing on the driver side.

this happens to me every couple months... it'll be fine for a while then all the sudden i lose all my DOT3 fluid, and ends up nowhere..

Sounds to me like you have a leaking slave cylinder, that is leaking inside of the bellhousing, and finding it's way out whereever it can. The easiest way out must be on the passenger side. Not sure that this can happen, but it is my guess.

The bleeder valve is a part of the slave cylinder itself.

You really should replace both the master and the slave just on general principles. They are both 15+ years old, the seals are likely long since past their prime, and they don't cost that much from Toyota anyway.

I'd bet money that any leaking problems you have will magically vanish when you do so.

well it turns out to be the slave cylinder had a rip in the boot, i was able to get a oem replacement for 30 bucks :) thanks for the kind help and pointers guys. i really appreciate it.
