i have an idea, input needed

the other day i was looking at the shapely lines of my mk3 when i realized how ugly and impractical the flip up headlights were.

my idea: convert the turn signals into a headlight/turn signal hybrid.

the plan: buy clear turn signals, move the turn signal bulb to the outside (where the parking light bulbs are), move headlight operation to origional turn signal location.

my problem: i know nothing about electrical. could this work?:1zhelp:

i see nothing wrong with the way the car was designed...if you are really worried about the popup headlights...create flush headlights like lam...he has a thread in the buildup gallery

Take a look at some of the pontiac and oldsmobile cars... they have the turn signal headlights like what you're looking for.

thanks for the sugestion. i will look into the oldsmobile headlights. as for the way the car was designed, it's beautiful but i would like something difrent that no one has.

if you really wanted to do this, the head light that are used in Pontiac's, Olds's, and Chevy's like MDC said. I cant recall the other GM cars that had them, but I do know if you look for the head lights for a (we'll say) 95 camaro, you will find the one's could be used for what you are looking for.

The numbers for them are
H4351 for the low beam
H4352 for the high beam

I'm pretty sure those are just extra foglights he added on, probably because he didn't notice the two huge stock ones as they flowed so well with the front fascia. A common mistake.

i pop up when my pop ups get up...i like the look of em down, but theyre sex when theyre up. especially if you get that conversion kit somewhere around here. kaze did something like it to theirs, but id seen a whole kit for around 800 somewhere. www.kazeaerocraft.com

BTW, just a +1 for popups here. EVERY girl I ever drove in my supra, and 91 prelude LOVED the popups. It basically made the cars for them.

All we need now are seperate switched to control either light at will, so we can wink at people. That's when you go from a level 6 coolness, to a level 9. I'd love to do something like that.
