I have a BHG!!

I went out Saturday and ran the Supra pretty hard when suddenly the temp. guage made a move to the red. I pulled into a Waffle house to check it out. The resevoir was close to over flowing. i figured since I had been hard on the car that it may just be running hot. I ate at Waffle house for about an hour while the car cooled down and made my way home which was about 3 miles away. Well on Sunday morning the car was hard to start and to get it to idle I had to slightly hold the gas down. I also notice coolant was pouring out of the engine bay but I could tell where it was coming from so I had my girl turn the key while I looked for the leak!! The coolant was pouring from behind the flange of the ehaust header!! BHG!! I thought the mhg was the fix for this issue with the 7m!! What happened?

i agree with kai. The mating surfaces werent perfectly flat. That seems to be the only thing i can think of. And its possible to blow any type of headgasket no matter what it is. Its all in the tune but more importantly the surfaces have to have a mirror like finish.

Great we now lost another na to a turbo shitty............. but while were on the subject what mods have you done to get those numbers from your N/A???

Oh yeah I am not leaving the N/A camp!! I am currently trying to get my hands on a MKII that has been sitting at my dealership for a while now and if that doesn't work out there is another N/A MKIII in my neighborhood with a BHG and I believe she is trying to get rid of it.

Im doing a bhg on an N/A 91. I took the head to the the machinge shop like 4 months ago. I'm taking my time and doing it right all the way around, my car has been on ramps for months. I haven't logged in here in 2 or 3 months. I just pulled the plug on the project. Now I think I'm going to go through with it. I have been looking at new cars from the audi s4 to the 350z and also the cadillac cts v series 400hp Ls2 engine. You have to spend 45k to get something decent that is new and I know I'll enjoy the sound of the pipes on my supra. It's time to get my gear head back on.
