Okay in my car, there are some quircks but these two i cant figure out. After taking apart my dash and radio, behind them i noticed two things. 1 thing is where my dash is. IT is the VAC sensor. It was just sitting there on the little bottom piece of the glove compartment are, you know the foam stuff. Can anyone tell me where it goes? Also now heres a real ofddd problem. When i took out my deck and exposed everything behind the little center area, i found this rubber hose that goes into this little white thing. The tube doent connect to anythign at either ends. The white thing is honestly right behind where my cd went. i was thinking it could have been something for my ac but im not too sure. can anyone help me with this?

Is it possible that you could get pictures of this stuff? Personally I don't know for sure what you are talking about.

that sensor :icon_conf , i think goes on the metal bracket that holds the bottom of the glove box (on the back side)if its the one i'm thinking of
and if the piece behind the deck isn't hooked to anything RIP IT OUT simple. :icon_bigg
maybe whoever had it before you just left it there (like a trash can) :nono:

I have one of those hoses too... never bothered to see where it goes, but I would imagine its not terribly important <Im guessing related to the climate controls, but dont know for sure>

lol assuming im reading this right here are the answers to your problems...

1) its a HAC sensor...and it gets attached to the support bar that the hinges of the glovebox get attached to...right in the middle.

2) that hose is for your AC... it runs up and along side the inside of the dash to a sensor on the passenger side of the dash. if you pop out that panel in the dash, the one on the passenger side and on the end is the passenger vent....if you pop that out on the left hand side youll see the sensor and where that hose connects to.

HAC= high altitude compensation sensor. (has nothing to do with air conditioning)

Boys, boys, stop that ! This minute !! The item in question is the 'inside' temp sensor for the automatic temp control. It has a tiny bit of vacuum to 'draw' air over the sensor to help the computer keep the inside car temp at the setting chosen. Now go back to bed !!! Get some sleep, and start over tomorrow. :biglaugh:
