So after my friends nagged me enough to go out tonight I gave in, we met up and were going to a friends house. So going down the road is a friends GF driving his car, my friend in his WRX, and me...cruising at about 40mph I'm around 6 car lengths from the WRX...this girl decides it would be funny to try a 40-0 stop as HARD AS SHE CAN unnanounced...so my friend makes the stop before slamming her bumper but unfortunetly I don't. My front end gets wedged underneath the WRX, bending his exhaust, and cracking the back bumper. My front bumper has a hole where a support is, the top bumper, lid part is completely crushed up into the hood, hood seems fine but the drivers side headlight is stuck halfway up.
Well in conclusion I was out for not even 30 minutes before I got into the most pointless accident ever. Looks like I'm gonna be stuck with my insurance going up(which I won't be able to afford) a $500 deductable for my friends bumper and exhaust(which I can't afford right now) and a smashed up front end.
The only way to fix things now is to get this girl to pay my deductable...and still suffer my insurance going up. or sell the Supra:)cry: The thought makes me sick)to pay for all this. and have my insurance still be higher when I can afford to get another... I Guess I just needed to express my anger. Sorry no pics of the damage.

Your insurance shouldnt go up unless you've had alot of accidents. If this is your first one in a while, I cant see them raising your rates. As far as the $ goes, if you own the car you can always do one of those title loans, I know its a shitty option, but it's better than losing the supra.

My last was almost 2 years ago, someone pulled out on me and clipped me and I swerved into the next lane but apparently not soon enough(asshole cop) gave me a lane change violation and tried making it look completely my fault. Got the ticket dropped but insurance found it 50% my fault...went up 3 points for that. I hate insurance in this state. I'm already paying almost 4 thousand a year.
Ya I own the car and it's in my name. That might be my only way out, if I can even afford that. I need to afford school and everything else, and it looks like my income is 0 right now because of my employer not knowing how to get paperwork done and get me hours.

Damn, 4k a year!, you must be under 21. Hope it all works out for you, I'd hate to see you lose the car because of an accident caused by some assrag. Good luck.

It won't go up if you don't claim it, If everyone agrees it was her fault, everyone should make her pay for the damages. If she is not willing to do that I would go have a long talk with her parents.

Yea I'm 18. I'm paying waayy too much, but I figured I could make the payments despite how much it was ripping me off. But it now seems I've kinda lost my job, might have to pay for this whole thing, and my insurance payments going up. If I get to keep the Supra, SS brake lines are definetly one of my next investments.

Front end

Close up-The circle is the cut out from the exhaust on the WRX, acted as a cookie cutter right into my bumper

Headlight-the bracket to the right of the self adjusting knob is supposed to be vertical...it got bent under the headlight and now the headlight hits the bracket when it tries going down

My dirty car

Interior...the only thing clean

Looks like I'm gonna be stuck with driving my second car for awhile if I can't afford to keep the Supra

Try now.

I just got the bracket out of the way from the headlight going down...but now it wont go up...and if it did the plug in the back of the running light would hit it.

What a fucking idiot. If someone did that being funny damn near the only excuse I'd take would be involuntary spasms. Sucks about your car man :(

Yea my original hopes were to get it all the little shit it needs done, new HG, and close to 300hp by Spring...I guess theres ALOT more little things that need to be squared away:icon_mad:
If I have to let it go it will definetly go on SM before I try to sell it anywhere else, I'm not selling it to anyone who will beat on it and just let it rot.

Oh no everyone knows she was at fault and she should pay to make my car and my friends back to the way they were before...but I can't threaten her to give me money. Who know's if she even has the money.(not like I care) And I'd really have to take her to court if she wont fix her mistake and wants to be stubborn by saying she wasn't completely at fault.

Uhhh... how are you penalized for a dropped ticket? Sounds like some screwed up BS to me. I'd check into that a little better. $300+/month for insurance? My ass would be driving a metro for a couple more years. Thats freakin stupid, love the Supra or not. On another note, why the hell would you have to pay for anything? I'm assuming this wasn't at a stop sign/light, if anything the WRX owner would be paying for it all. Whether or not he was driving, and chances are his GF isn't even covered by his insurance, which would get you off the hook and really get her into some trouble. Sure YOU hit them, but it's not like it was your fault, stupidity has a high price and both of them need to learn that. Just remind them what COULD have happened by them being that stupid...

The ticket was dropped but the accident was still found 50% my fault., Yes I'm paying 1000 up front, and 270 a month, but that's how this state goes.
There were 3 cars involved...a Grand Marquis, my friend in the WRX, and myself. I don't think you got the whole story. The driver of the WRX should not have to pay because he was sandwiched between this girl slamming on her brakes, and me not being able to brake in time. Yes the girl is covered under the insurance on the Mercury. but the Merc was never hit... this is why it is a tricky situation. Sorry trying to make it alittle more understandable, I draw a diagram in paint or something lol
