Well I got lucky twice!! First and foremost I was introduced to this forum!!!
The 2nd was finding my Supra. I had one when I was single.... and totally blew the head gasket... ugh!!! And Daddy didnt want to fix it. :3d_frown: He said too much money to do. So I had to get rid of it. :cry: I called it shades of grey. Cuz every corner of the car had a different shade of grey... It was a gun metal grey with the burgundy interior. Targa top/auto/non-turbo. I loved it!!! had it for about 3 years!!! i bought it used from a toyo dealer...
Anyways... Fastforward to 2006, I find myself driving a 91 honda accord, and boy do I feel my age. I was tired of the old 4 dr sedan... I found an old buddy who sales used cars.... He had an 87 Supra 262K and leaking oil. OMG I thought I cant let this one get away... I would find a way to fix it.. if I had to. Well he was willing to trade my honda for the supra. Well I thought maybe my cuz, who has a shop, would give me a deal to get it running... no way... he wanted 3K... OMG... I thought to myself... what to do. Well I got very lucky when my buddy, said he has a friend who sells Jap motors with less than 40K all we had to do was find someone to put it in.... he found someone to do it. :biglaugh:
Long Story Shorter.... My buddy put in the new motor, new belts, new water pump and new odds and ends for me.... YES FOR ME....:love: Now I am waiting to go pick it up!!!! The body is in great shape... black... Of course I will have to have it painted.... And I want to put in a spoiler/sunroof.
