I fail on an epic level

So it starts at 2:00am....I'm on my way home from the bar...I get stopped at a DUI check point and get nailed for .09 and the limit is .08...no fine or anything thank god but I'm standing outside waiting till 5:30am so I can get the keys to the supra so I can make it to the englishtown nj meet!

Epic fail but it could be worse....it's so cold out!

i didnt get pulled over....i got stopped cause everyone that went on that road got stopped....i passed a field sobriety test and was just 1 point over the legal limit....anyway....i just got my keys back from the cops and got my car so im good to go...about to leave for the supra meet here in a minuet so all worked out and im thank my lucky starts that the cops were in a chipper mood!

yes it was stupid but now i know....to never take that road again.

Some people "recover" faster. 1 drink per hour is a rule of thumb. People do not own breathalyzers, so they cannot gauge their BAC level - they can only go by what they feel. When you feel like you are good to drive, sometimes you may not be. How about people who have not slept in a certain amount of hours? Technically, that is driving impaired as well, and to the same degree at which he was caught - but there is no test or legal precedence for driving impaired in that way.

Drinking and driving is one the most preventable and dangerous crimes that the US faces, IMO.

You're lucky you are not in jail. Maybe you should have been judging by your current attitude...

Don't do it again. Take a freaking taxi or bus.

I think our bal has to be over .1 here in which case you wouldn't have been drunk, but I think these rednecks here were drinking bud light out of their bottle while in the crib. I'm glad you didn't get hit with a massive fine, and I'm also glad you didn't kill yourself or anyone else, but you really should use this as a learning experience. law would've came down hard on you here in Indiana...I would've only had 2 drink, maybe 3 small bottles but that over a good duration of time. To date, I haven't had any drinks since early last year...

Some people have a better tolerance than others, and it's been proven that people aren't always impared, that's why the tests where created.

I'm sure if he had failed the tests he'd be sitting in jail right now...

Also, Texas was a .1 state for a very long time, lowering the limit hasn't done jack...

you seem to look past the fact that i passed the field sobriety test....and that like 3 hours later i was back in the police station gettin the keys to my supra....i was far..far far far far from drunk..i felt just fine..

and please dont act like your shit dont stink....tellin me that youve never driven at times where maybe just maybe you shouldnt have is complete bullshit theresa.

i honestly believe the only reason they even wanted to test me is cause my speach is kinda slurred cause i got my tongue pierced last sunday....if i really was a danger and did some so very bad then jesus id be in fuckin jail sweet cheeks! look at the big picture....im here...i made it too the meet....i have no fines....im good to go....they only took my keys cause its a liability as if someone where to hit me by chance then automaticly it would be my fault and i could sue them or my family could sue them cause they didnt take my keys....
