Without a turbo, what can I get out of this puppy since its a full rebuild? What parts would I get BIGGER or ported and so on to get the most and what is the most I can safely push but still have fun with ?:1zhelp:

I know this has been talked about before but I cant find a definitive list, thats why Im asking.

I come from a land down under
Not a whole bunch without some serious expensive work as the 7MGE is a fairly well developed motor to begin with, it's not like it's some lazy old pushrod I-6 making 100hp that has lots of overhead for improvment :)

Whenever Defiant_7M is done with his project thing, you'll probably find out what the N/A is capable of :D

LOL, yeah. 101mm stroke will do wonders for torque output ;)

I'd say a full port/polish, get a MAFT-Pro, custom 10:1 compression pistons, optimize your quench area, oversized valves, header + 2.75" mandrel exhaust, and BIG FUCKING CAMSHAFTS. Something like 236/244 @ .050" with about .420" lift (if possible)

Definetely shim under buckets. I could see 300rwhp N/A, spinning 8500rpm or so!

light weight/fly wheel /light wheels/ gut car / high comp 10.1
mock wiht your afm

the list goes on but in the end you spent alot off money and engine swaped honda will most likly beat you

7mge into a mk2 supra is worth is caus eit's lighter car

Intake and exhaust are done, been done. How much is a MAFT-Pro system and what exactly do they do? I never researched it. Gonna bump the timing to 14 when its back together (how much will that increase my HP though?)

whats my quench area?

hows 10:1 comp affect reliability?

Info on MAFTPro..says it costs about 400 bucks.

No one knows how much timing will increase your HP. People have done it on turbo cars with good gains but NAs are probably different. I'm guessing 5-10 crank HP??

10:1 Compression will probably be fine but you'll have to use high(er) octane than 93 maybe if you're bumping up the timing.

already running Premium, have been for 4 months, car likes it better.

Is this MAFTpro worth anything? I mean I see you can tune everything that the AFM controls but, iono maybe Im not seeing the HUGE benefit for $400.

Anyone wanna help me out here?

bubbling you time doe's not do to much for power sure you will get a gain but you gain more turq then hp witch si good thing plus makes you car better on gas as well

but if you have any pinging/nock hoigher ocatin or deaves it usely better gas will fix it but the caces of you get a nock/ping is very littel

as maft pro baaa no need the stock ecu wiht some fule reg chnaces and safc will be abotut he most you cna do

Bumping your timing doesn't do much for power. Sure, you'll get a gain, but you gain more torque than hp. Which is a good thing - plus, you can get better gas mileage as well!

But, if you have any pinging/knocking, you'll need higher octane - usually this will fix it, but you might get a little knock/ping.

As for MAFT-Pro, bah - no need. The stock ECU with a fuel regulator and SAFC will be about the most you can do.

:D

Personally, on an N/A motor, you want NO restriction coming into the intake - so get rid of the AFM, and have your SAFC + Speed Density in one $399 unit!
