Hypothetical situation: $1500, rod knock, options, need opinions again

I want to spend AROUND $1500 to either:

1. Rebuild my GE top to bottom and get it running again
2. Toss in a GTE and get it running with some boost finally

I HAVE a GTE short block pretty much, almost need everything. I also have a W58 in the car, and a spare R154 OUT of the car right now. The GE threw a rod, and will get rebuilt if I go that route.

What would you do with $1500-$2000 and in my situtation? Im doing all the work myself except the obvious machine shop work on the block and head. The GTE I have needs to be rebuilt as well... I was looking at straight up buying a GTE front clip and just dropping it in. I will be using this car as my DD for a few months when its back to normal bc the corsica I just bought will be sold to my bro who is about to get his license. Im gonna save aother $3000 and buy a civic or something for a DD. Thats later, I wanna know WHAT I SHOULD do to my supra now. Its a 86.5 N/A currently. The GE I have ALL the parts for obviously, its whats in the car right now... which way to go...

reason i ask is bc now that I have a DD, I have a little more time on my hands to think this out...

Rebuild your GE! And convert it to NA-T. Thats what im doing. Also going to be using Maf-t Pro. Right now im still under 2000!

And thats including a BIC DDP and maft pro.

honestly if i was in your situation i'd take that $1500 and use it as a down payment for a used car with some sort of warranty... or even a new economy car like a toyota yaris or honda fit or something. dd must be reliable, period. you won't get that for $1500... no supra is reliable period.

No credit, and thats bc of BAD BAD credit. I can only go to those hole in the wall "your job is your credit" places. and they fuck me on interest rates, last time I went to one, they wanted 24%, FUCKKK NO
