just wondering if anyone has has used this system,
HYDRA NEMESIS ver 2.1
(plug + play)supposedly..
i still want to just turn the key and go, and not have to tune the thing every week..
any input would be apreciated:icon_bigg

i was thinking of going maft-pro,
but i can get this localy from a friend that is going 2jz :evil2: :squirt-mo
for a good deal too:naughty:

only running a 60-1 ct26 right now w/toyota hg,arp studs, so no more than 17psi for me for a while.
do i really need EMS?
Ultimate goal 550 to the wheels or so.

I've heard of it. It is a nice system and all but, supposedly only one guy in the country that is really good at tuning it (last I checked, back when I still had the WRX). I think you'd be better off with AEM or something, tuners are practically growing on trees for them...

My bad, my information wasn't entirely accurate (a bit out of date). Here is a list of Hydra tuners that are out there now- http://www.carmodifications.com/Hydra EMS Dealer list.htm

I was thinking of element tuning. They apparently have an exclusive on the WRX Hydra market now.

Sorry but last I checked even a full MAF pro setup isn't close to $1500.

If it does everything it says it can then it looks like a very good product for much less then an AEM EMS. There is no such thing as an EMS that will just plug in and have your motor set up to go automatically. Which is why most people go with piggy back systems in addition on the TCCS, since essentially its a little bit dumber (well, a lot) EMS.

If it were a project car, I'd say go for it. But if you need the car and have no idea how to use the thing don't. Plus you don't need something quite so advanced for those goals, would be pretty cool, but unnecessary.

what i ment is i can get this thing for around $500 since the owner is going 2jz.
and i know it would need a full day to dyno and tune if not more.
also my car isn't a daily driver but might be more than i want to tackle.
on the other hand the maft-pro would also need proper tuning.
