hp under boost

i was debating whether this should fit under the tech or just general of the mk3. my simple question is, how much horsepower do you get from a stock 7mgte under boost.

just a little curious. couldn't find anything under searching.

thanks in advance,

The stock supra supposedly makes somewhere around 238 horsepower, but I think that's rated at the crank and not the wheels. Your question is very vague, so I could be misunderstanding it.

I think the OP is under the impression that there is added HP over and beyond the 230hp during boost. Let me rephrase the question for the OP.

"The stock 7mgte has 230hp but how much more HP does it gain during (while making) boost."

No disrespect intended.

Sorry guys. I should've made it clearer. Spec says that it's 230 hp 245 tq and i'm assuming that's while it's in boost correct? So i was wondering how much horsepower and torque does the stock 7mgte produce when it isn't in boost. Sorry if i sound like a super newb.

You mean if we got a 7mgte and took off the turbo and then got it dynoed?
That would be the only way.Mine has positive boost pretty much whenever i stand on the loudpeddle but it may not be making max boost until a little later in the rev range.

Then you'd see the same as a dyno graph for the most part...

A good example is if you downshift in the powerband (anywhere over 3K RPM is good) and floor it, boost is INSTANT for the most part.

I gotta ask, do you have a turbo car?

Wiseco, i'm thinking about how much power you get before you go into boost and get the full 230. Ij said 100rwhp. when i really step on it, it doesn't feel like the power doubles from 100 to the 230. More like 2/3's? Or 3/4th's?

I do have a turbo car, though i'm very new to turbos and the fairly new to the supra world. With that said i have one more question. What is the hp and tq difference between a 7mge-t with the whole stock ct26 set up vs the actual 7mgte?

Excuse me for the confusion and my curiousness everyone. Haha

Anyone who has ever blown an intercooler coupling and then tried to step on it again knows exactly how.......yuck.......it feels. The first time I ever had a clamp slip off I had just picked up my car after getting a t76 for the first time over stock.

Well I made it about 2 Km and just as I went under a bridge while merging I heard what I thought was an explosion (the roof was off) and then I hit the gas again and my heart nearly stopped. Worst feeling ever, especially after how damn good those fist 2 Km had just felt.

Talk about going from "OMG! this is the greatest thing ever" feeling, to "OMG! I killed my car! noooooooooooooooooooo!"

Anyways put the pipes back together and off I was again with the greatest thing ever feeling again! LOL

I see what your saying (I think) When boost comes on, you dont have instantly 230hp, you still have to build that power according to revs. You may not feel that 230hp till 5000rpm.Varying turbo and cam combinations can give you large increases in power within certain parts of the rev range where the hp jumps rapidly within a few hundred rpm.
Do a search for dyno graph's on this site and youll be able to see where the turbo starts to get moving and at what rpm its most efficient.

To keep it OUT of boost you can either use low RPM or very light throttle at higher RPM, either way it's going to be making less than 100rwhp as you're NOT burning enough fuel to make more.
