How to know you have a Rod Knock?

Hey every one. I was just curious whats the signs of a rod knock?

I don't think i have one but when i got out my car to day it seemed as if my lifters where louder then normal?

how much when it was at idle it made a tap noise hoping it was just the lifters or something idk maybe ill go take a vid of the noise. Let you guys decide if its a real problem or me just being over cautious.

Has your idle oil pressure decreased?

Try pulling an injector clip at a time with it idling and see if the tap changes, replace clip and repeat down the engine.

i went and took a video uploading it know should be up in a min. My oil pressure has not changed according to the stock gauge. It didnt seem to be knocking as loud now

Valve tick and Rod Knock are different. The video in the Exhaust Help/Opinion thread shows my car with valve tick (still havent gotten around to checking the clearances and reshimming).

Wasnt implying that you were stupid. When i was 18 my accord had a bad rod knock. I Just tried to reposition off the grass and onto my driveway to pull the motor. Next thing I know, i'm picking pieces of my block off the driveway. Luckily I wasnt planning on using the motor. My point is things like that can change rapidly.

If you do the test I suggested the tap will stop/change if it's RK, if it's top end it will remain.

The motor is not even broke in yet could it be that? it has about 200 miles on it. Also there is a squeak coming from my timing belt i think.
