how do I get to the centre spark plugs without removing all the intake and everything? Or do I have to take it all off?

i did my plugs without taking the TB off. its a pain but can be done. the hardest part was getting the new plugs seated and the wires on them.

It's really not bad at all. After taking it off once you'll be able to get through it damned fast everytime thereafter. You don't need to completely remove it either, just remove the accordian, a few bolts and disconnect the support brackets... leaves plenty of room.

On a GE? I would like to see that. Must be a real special wrench that lets you elevate the plug out of the hole with intake in the way.

can I do it without disconnecting any vaccum lines? How about just unbolting it and moving it aside or lifting it out of the way?

You might have to disconnect the vac line that goes to the thermostat housing but the others can stay. have a 12mm with a long extension and its no problem taking the TB off.

Take the throttle body off.... Reuseable gasket. Its a bitch but it needs to be done

Yep. I labelled all the vacuum hoses I took off so I'd know where to reconnect them when I reassembled it. I broke one when I was taking it off cause it was so old though, so I had to get some replacement hose. I had to get an extension thing for my socket wrench to reach the spark plugs. I think I have pics on my website.

spark plug socket, has a rubber gasket in it that holds onto the plug. again that was the tricky part using that socket to get the plug back In and seated.

Removed all the bolts and brackets holding the y-pipe on, disconnected a few vaccum lines and then just moved it out of the way a bit when I needed to get at the 3/4 plugs :) worked great, and my car is now running great!
